The US is currently recording 50,000 new cases per day. 

It is estimated that only 1 in 10 cases is reported. Therefore the number of active cases "could" be 10 times higher. 

So:

50,000(cases) x 30(days) = 1,500,000 (1.5 Million cases per month)

12 Months = (18 Million new cases per year).

Factor in the estimate that only 1 in 10 cases is reported. 

12 Months x 10(All Cases) = 216,000,000 (216 Million New cases in one year).

People not living because they are afraid of dying can't go on much longer either. It was never about stopping the virus. Only total isolation in small island nations can. It was about "flattening the curve" to give modern medicine time to prepare.

Totally agree DA. I'm well aware of the seriousness of the situation and there ways to be careful. I know a few people who had this...they were not hospitalized but were very sick and are still struggling to get back to fitness after recovering from the virus...it has huge toll on the body...
