Certain places in the UK reached 38 degrees. This is by far the warmest summer I have seen in the UK. I was walking earlier today and it felt like being in the Free State in a desert. This was as warm as any day in Durban, but Durban can also include an extra 4-5 degrees for humidity.

If cold winters are proof that global warming is not happening, then what is the warmest summer on record?

I have also noticed that the wind has increased over the last 4 years- even in summer.

Global warming is definitely happening . . . it's just happening at a slow rate so stupid people don't recognise that it's happening.

And it's man-made climate change I'm talking about here.

And a third of it happened before there was any significant man made CO2 in the atmosphere….but why don’t we just go back to 1820 and ban fossil fuels, the world population then was a billion. Without fossil fuels we might have risen to 2 billion vs 8.3 billion today. Screw the other 6.3 billion.

@Mozart - no ban on fossil fuels. The transition to green must be seamless without impacting the economy. In time, green energy will be cheaper in most situations - on a like-for-like basis.
