….would overrule it’s elected leader and order that the country repay foreigners or their agents $166 billion. Personally I thought whatever ruling they made should have been prospective, giving the administration the chance to correct. This ends up having high risk of being an unwarranted bonanza…to dealers where the consumer absorbed the cost or manufacturers where the dealers absorbed the cost.

But no matter it is stunning confirmation that the US is a country of laws

’Tell them in Sparta, oh ye who pass by, that here faithful to their laws we lie.’

What country?

That's easy . . . a country that elected a clown for president.

Any country that believes in the separation of powers, instead of one man, a King from the dark ages, who can do whatever he wants.

North Korea, Russia and other backward dictatorships consolidate power into one person, and they become the sum of this weakenesses and strengths.

The Supreme Court has played a significant part in America's success. Now, even stacked with conservative judges, it can still get to a correct conclusion. It is a long-term game, and something that Trump will never understand.

His tariffs may gain some short-term wins, but in the longer term, they do not serve America's interests.

Trade partners would just exclude America in the longer-term, due to one-sided trade deals.

Conservatism in America (Not MAGA) has always been rooted in free trade.

And yet if you ask any AI you choose to use it will confirm America was at the short end of the tariff stick before Trump. Let alone all the bureaucratic rules to stop American products like scientifically tested food additives being banned. Obstruct and tariff….vs visit Walmart, Costco and Amazon and you have access immediately.

Good luck with excluding America.

Another funny OP.

Repaying foreigners... It is very funny because many studies showed the distribution of the tariff farce cost.

As a reminder, the supreme court did not rule in favour of the foreign businesses exclusively, they ruled in favour of businesses, especially US businesses. Same businesses, as Trump's policies failed to deliver, were confident enough to go on Trump's devoted free press media to state outright that the situation would be better if the tariff policies were revoked.
