The centrist voters in the USA normally support centrist policies of a democratic nature. So why has the Demcorats gone to the far left veering from the center-left approach they normally follow. Biden has always been a weakling from a political perspective with no real political principles to speak of. He always went with the prevailing sentiments at the time. at one stage he was a supporter of Senator Byrd - who was the head of the KKK - and now he is a racist supporting the extreme left. However, Biden promised to heal the huge political divide and since ebcame President he has just increased it - so why is it happening?
So why is the policies of the present regime flounderinga round all the time. I is very easy to explain. The present Party is made up of a coalition of voters ranging from the cener to the moderate elftists and on the extreme side the so-called Democratic Socialists - a group that has infiltrated the Democrats by taking over local party structures. so why are the latter group running th show art present?
The fact is that even though the Democrats still retained control of the House of Represnetatives - they klost a number of seats and from a majority of 35before the 2020 election, their majority in the House are only 10 votes. The Social Democrats has the open support of five members and another estimated 28 sympathizers. Without the support of the extreme leftists the DP would get njo legislation approved and the leftists used that to ensure that their policies are implemented.
Th same applies to thr Senate where ther divcision is 50-50 and if the vote on any issue iss plit the Deputy President has the deciding vote on issues.
So the ultra-left decide on what should be in legislation otherwise theywould not vote for it. As a result of thai moderate voters are deserting the Democrats more and more and they are losing support in especially the Latino communities. Biden then went further and stated that no Cuban refugees fleeing the regime would be allowed to enter the USA. the reason for the latter could also be that the Socialist Democrats supported the Communist Regime in Cuba when demonstrations broke out and Biden made some noise by saying the protestors have the right to protest and that was all.
There is no0w talk of starting a more moderate centrist party in the USA calaiming that they would have the support of 30% of he Democrat voters an 10% of the Republicans,, However, that would hurt the demcorats badly with minimal support loss for the Republicans.
Can it work? Not so sure at all.
