The latest reports that there are two of Z uma’s assistants hard at work to charge Gordhan with charges relating to the Investigative Unit. They have four senior Hawk officials who work together with Abrahams and a team of four prosecutors to get charges against Gordhan compiled that would not so many holes as the previous charges had. The four Hawks offices are assisted by Abrahams together with the unit that laid the previous charges.
The situation has worsened – they now want to charge Jonas and also Mantashe and Zweli Mkhize with Gupta-related offenses as well. Please note that the latter three are to be charged because they did not inform the Hawks of the offered bribe to Jonas. So instead of charging the Gupta’s they are charging the people who turned down their bribe offer or was aware of the situation.
I think soon enough there would be other names added to the Hawks witch hunt against potential Z uma opponents inside and even outside of politics.
The Hawks are not interested in fighting crime – they are useless in that respect in any event, since serious crimes are ignored and political targets are now the first priority of an institution. They are headed by a person that in two cases perjured himself in a court of law and has established a reputation of being a political crony quite happy to lie and cheat.
It is clear what the objective is – the crooks in Government want to get their hands on National Treasury to approve their projects ultimately aimed at stealing billions.
Incidentally Z uma wants another crony – Molefe of Eskom – as Minister of Finance. The latter should be charged with withholding of vital information in the public interest. He would not reveal where the Saxonwold Shebeen is. It is rumoured that a whiskey and soda at the Shebeen goes along with payment of R250 000 minimum to the drinker for potential future services.
I think it is time that Z uma and his co-crooks must be stopped. The ANC is split and gutless and will sooner rather than later disintegrate into the honest members on the one hand and the crooks on the other head. With the present situation continuing there is one thing that is clear – the ANC will lose the next election.
