Following an epic arctic blast that included the second coldest day in Chicago's history, Lake Michigan is a majestic sight. Trees are covered in a sheath of ice. Waterfalls of ice festoon the banks and the ice extends out several miles, coated with fresh powder snow. Yet further out in clear water, clouds of steam pour off the surface.
It's not Scarborough, but Shelley could probably have made something of it.
