The frst si gns of major corruption was even before Zelenskyy became President. Ukraine from 1991 was regarded as the most corupt Government in Europe. In 2012 Podesta - later the Clinton campaign manager in the 2016 election and Maniford - initially starte in organization fleezing Ukraine and involved in corruption in Russia itself - becasme involved. When Trump heard about it he fired Maniford - but in the end Maniford and one other (not named) was accused of being involved in coruption in Ukraine. The one other was Podesta. Maniford was never charged with corruption in Ukraine and Russia - he was charged for not paying tax on income.
However the regime change in 2014 resulted in flow of huge funds from the USA to Ukraine. In the meantime in 2015 Hunter Biden became a Board member of Burisma and that company closely aligned to the Ukraine Govenment - to whom aid money flowed to as well. In 2015 Burisma funds to the amount of $38 000 000 was frozen in the UK due to potential fraud and moneylaundering. When that happened the EU insisted that a Chief Prosecutor be appointed to deal with corruption in Ukraine and a guy by the name of Shokin was appointed. In September 2015 the UK Foreign Affairs Department praised Shokin for the work he was doing in Uraine and in the UN Senate the then Assistant Secretary of State praised hokin a well for the work he was doing. E verything was doing well ubntil Shokin had the office of homes of the main owner searched.
In 2015 applied for a loan of $1 billion from the World Bank and Clinton did her job perfectly by getting the loan approved based on a guarantee provided by the US Government. Biden took the guarantee to Ukraine and in his meeting he told the Ukraine President to fire the Prosecutor that day before his Departure for Ukraine.
