The ANC under Zuma has a history of losing court cases - in High Court and also in the Constitutional Court.   They try to and get out with the active help of the Guptas and every time gets deeper into the twang,    Despite that they keep on appealing rulings with virtually no chance of success,
So lets look at what happened in 2016 and subsequently where it was clear they pissed on the Constitution without any regard to what happen afterwards,    Left look at a short description where they have gone wrong for them:-
*    The Nkandla Constitutional Court case - the first of a series of disasters for Zuma - he was told that he failed to upheld the Constitution and ordered to pay for the items identified by Madonsela.
*    The next one was the State Capture Report where it was recommended that he appoints a Commission of Enquiry headed by a judge identified by Chief Justice Mogoeng, since Zuma and his family is up to their neck involved in the mess.   The High Court ruled that  the report be immediately released and the huge scandal came to the fore.   Zuma decided to call for review of the recommendations in the report and the matter is going through the Court process at present.   In the meantime one of the main culprits (Molefe) was forced into Parliament through a lying system and Zuma wanted to make him Minister of Finance to replace Gordahn,    Three of the ANC top 6 baulked and refused to accept his decision.
*     Zuma called the Head of the National Prosecution Authority (Abrahams) to the HO of  the ANC and instructed him to lay charges against Gordahn based on a bogus report of the Hawks,   The day before the matter was supposed to go to Court Abrahams panicked and withdrew the charge  because it was groundless.   That happened after the NPA's  Lawyers refused to be part of the spectacle and the internal legal advisor of SARS was held hostage by and manhandled the Hawks.
*    The next problem relates to the NPA - where two deputy heads who was used by Zuma to  manipulate the charging of cases of a nature that would detrimentally affect his cronies or himself.    Both were scrapped by the Bar Council as members  because of lies and they are now appealing the decision,   Zuma suspended them and they are now sitting at home drawing their huge salaries.   Chances are 99% the appeal will fail and they would be fired.
*    The next saga relates to the 783 charges of bribery, fraud and corruption involving Zuma himself, which led to Zuma using the acting Head of the NPA to withdrew the charges on spurious grounds in 2009.   The High Court ruled that the charges be re-instated and Zuma and his crony as Head of the NPA appealed the decision.   Chance of success in the Appeal is virtually zero.
*    In the meantime Zuma is in trouble about the termination of services of the previous head of the NPA,   The guy was appointed and then terminated being paid R17 million to get him to go.   Problem is that the guy started to look at potential charges of bribery and corruption involving Zuma's family.   So the idea was to get rid of him by hook or by crook,  The pay-out was taken to Court and Zuma made the fatal mistake of submitting a false sworn statement to Court.   Lying to court in such statements is taboo and the matter is going through the Court and one can only imagine what will come next.
*     Zuma arranged for the appointment of two cronies as heads of the Hawks and of the SABC.   The High Court found both appointments as being made illegally and caused both to be fired.
*    The next Constitutional Court epoch involved the payment of Social Grants.  This involved Minister Dlamini - the  Head of the ANC Women's League.    She made sure that a Constitutional Court decision of 2014 is not implemented and she insisted that the contractor be retained - the same contractor who paid R83 million to one of her alleged lovers.   The Court was so incensed that they ruled that  Dlamini should submit an affidavit why she should not be held personally liable for legal costs in the matter and Dlamini lied in the sworn statement submitted.   The Court is obviously not amused and a decision is being delayed and could be ugly for Zuma and Co.   Important since Dlamini is running the campaign of his ex-wife to be elected as leader of the ANC to replace Zuma.   In the meantime Dlamini is refusing to attend Parliamentary Committee meetings to answer questions on the issue,    This is going to turn ugly soon for the Zuma mafia.
*    As if this is not enough there is a Court case looming on the issue of the Report of the Commission of Enquiry relating to the Arms deal appointed by Zuma.   This is turning ugly - since Zuma invited the Thant lawyer to his official residence in Pretoria to convince him not to lay bare the involvement of Zuma in the issue.   The report ignored the findings of Courts in Europe involving the payments of millions in bribes and the whole exercise was a whitewash of Zuma and his cronies,    The matter is now before the Courts and the outcome could be ugly for Zuma - since he as paid R500 000 per year by Thant - part of the 783 bribery, corruption and money laundering charges referred to above,    The matter is now going through the Court process and could turn ugly.
*     Then yesterday the DA approached the High Court for an urgent ruling forcing Zuma to provide reasons for and all documentation relating to the recent cabinet changes involving inter alia Gordahn and Jonas.   Problem was th at in his affidavit he lied about the issue.    The Court was blunt and ordered Zuma to submit the reasons and all documentation to the DA within five days,   He may Appeal the decision - but his chances of success is near to zero.   This is only the start of a further legal process involving Zuma and the rationality of his decision to discharge Gordahn,    They want Zuma to provide all documentation and reasons - especially a bogus Security Report he used and the list of Ministerial changes he provided to the ANC top six.    Some real dynamite to follow.
*     The next phase in the legal saga is on 15 May 2017 in the Constitutional Court when they hear an application of the opposition parties to have the vote of no confidence in Zuma held through a secret ballot,    Funny why they did schedule a hearing since that would normally be left to Parliament.   However, there was  already threats against ANC members of Parliament not to vote against Zuma in this case and a string of political murders in Zuma's political heartland of KwaZulu-Natal.   I am going to spend 15 May watching the show on TV and would be surprised if the Court ruled against a secret vote.   Please note that Mbeki, the Churches and the Communist Party members are all applying pressure to vote according to their conscience and it may yet cause havoc.
There are a lot of appeals at present under consideration and the whole scenario could cause a legal minefield for Zuma in the rest of 2017.

CM lets trust that the courts do the right thing for the sake of the country as a whole.
Some of my friends back in RSA have their doubts about the court's ruling on the 15th but we have to trust that the folks running the courts are an honest and above approach group.
Power corrupts just as money does....and unfortunately the very people who will suffer most are these poor supporters of the ANC criminals.
Many years ago we thought long and hard about what lies ahead for SA and my families future. We were both disappointed and petrified about what could happen to the country and unfortunately, we have been proven right.
When Mandela became President we thought that he was the one (a moderate) who could pull it off but we did not know about these other comrades who had their own self-enriching plans.
Sadly this has become a nightmare for all law abiding folks and once again has raised doubts about Africa in general.
A documentary made about Africa by an Italian director in the late 1970's and banned in most if not all countries in Africa was a prelude to actual events unfolding then and now.
Unlawful and shocking state of affairs I am saddened to admit.

AJ I think you are referring to the movie called "Adeau Africa".   It was a horror story about  Africa after most countries got independence.
That was followed in the 1980's by Mugabe in the Matabeleland genocide and when it became clear that his regime was being threatened by ever-growing opposition the murderous campaigns in Zimbabwe subsequently.
Problem in SA was that Mandela was a moderate who realized the importance of balancing of the interests of all South Africans.   Mbeki had a different approach - but was also a more moderate person than was reflected in the media.     I met him twice and was most impressed by what he said and did.
Zuma is an outright crook and should never have been President.   Now that the tide is turning against him he has turned to the Mugabe example of using racism and so-called western threads to justify his crazy actions.   I do not think he will survive though.
In any event I differ from your friends - whenever a case on Zuma appears before any Court it has gone against him.   Problem is the Courts are not amused by his false affidavits and his consistent crookedness.  He has made a serious mistake by appointing Mogoeng as Chief Justice - same as the mistake in appointing Madonsela as Public Protector.
I think Mogoeng realizes that the break-in at his office in Midrand was engineered by Zuma and the security cluster and is seriously pissed off with Zuma in particular.   I would not be surprised if the Constitutional Court ruled in favour of a secret ballot.
