The banks closed the bank accounts of the corrupt Gupta family and the war on the banks is now on.
The real problem has been unearthed by the new President Protector with a half-baked draft report leaked to the Guptas and their press agents to the effect that Bankcorp received a bail out in the 1980's when it faced financial problems. Bankcor was taken over by ABSA in 1991 and the bail out money repaid in 1995.
The matter was investigated in the early years of the late 1990's and early 2000's and there was nothing wrong found. So what all the noise is about is real ANC lies to justify a Commission of Enquiry into the banking sector punted by the Guptas and their favourite servants - Zuma and the Gupta Ministers.
ABSA together with 18 other banks are under investigation for foreign currency trading manipulation - but the attack is on ABSA because of links to the anti-Zuma faction in the ANC involving Trevor Manuel and his wife - who is now the Chairperson of the ABSA board, while the lies are spread that ABSA is controlled by the ANC pet hate - Rupert.
In the meantime Zuma was instructed by the Guptas not to sign the new FICA bill which could land his master plus Zuma and his cronies in jail.
This while the new crony of the Guptas - the Minister of Finance is in the USA trying to convince the IMF and other monetary institutions that there is not a shift in Government financial policies. He thinks he can bluff the international financial institutions into believing the liars - but the way is going down and they would just give him the middle finger - maybe slightly politely.
The sour bitch - Zuma's ex-wife - is now the Gupta and Zuma plant to replace Zuma as ANC leader and started off her campaign with a vicious string of lies and some real racial bigotry/attacks against the Whites. The ANC realizes that the Party is going down the drain as a result of gross theft, bribery and corruption and has a real chance in losing the election in 2019 - so now the Mugabe policies and racist attacks are adopted by them. She has to protect the racketeers and although she is supposed to be divorced from Zuma - she is living with I'm in the Nkandla citadel of corruption.
The ANC has totally collapsed as a result of bribery and corruption - led by the most corrupt individuals imaginable and the only way open to them is to try and get the rural blacks to support them through racist attacks. One of the Gupta agents - in their pay like the Youth League and the corrupt Women's League - do not want the FICA Bi not to be signed since it would bankrupt the ANC - showing how really corrupt the whole set-up is.
There is just one hope for the country and that is to defeat the corrupt lot in 2019 or to get the corrupt bastards removed even before that. The churches are now getting involved and the outcome could be disastrous for the liars and thieve who have taken over the ANC.
The country is in for a rough time while the raid on the Treasury and banks has commenced.
