Now we can breathe again and hopefully it's a beginning of better things to come.

We can only live in hope.. Mugabe gone and now Zuma.

Perhaps we now at least have a fighting chance...

Sad to hear about Morgan...a reasonably good man compared to the rest...pity though the only leader in Zim that could have made a real difference.

Tsvangirai sold his people out for the mighty dollar. He pretended to care ... but in the end was more interested in his own prosperity than freeing his people from a tyrant.

It's great news that Zuma is gone. I hope he's prosecuted for his many crimes and lives his last days out in a 3 x 3 cell ... with his son.

What is it with the native African and his inability to stave off corruption? He either pursues self enrichment or rules his people with an iron fist ... or both. Either way, the country suffers. It really stuns me how easily they can turn everything they touch to shit.

Will his replacement resist using our economy as his personal bank account ... or is it just going to be more of the same?

Unfortunately in Africa we are never going to get a perfect leader and government...not one country has succeeded to it's full potential and democracy is a false word that's impossible to grasp...the ignorant masses are so easily manipulated,

It's a natural impairment...the twist is the truth that the majority is always wrong.

A benevolent despot (President or Head of State) is perhaps the only ideal that would work but in the modern world that would never be accepted and frowned upon by useless liberals. The trouble is benevolent iron rod leaders are very rare and perhaps even don't exist anymore. The masses will always rule and people are sheep.

The best policy for SA would have been Qualified Franchise...it is not colour conscious and is based on worthyness and fairness and sensability...people should only be allowed to vote if they have earned the right to vote and understand what they are voting for.

The original Progressive Party were certainly not perfect but they were on the right track.

WHAT THE HECK HAS THIS TO DO WITH RUGBY OU MAAAIKIE YOU DISGRACEFUL HYPOCRITE.!!! HAAHAHAHAHAHHA HOW OU MAAAIKE  SHOWS WHAT A DOOFUS HE IS.

So ou maaaiki'es former comrade is gone, How ou maaaaike could ever have been comrades with zuma and company is very troubling!  No wonder he was a Clinton supporter!

Any chance Cyril will be better! He may not be as corrupt in office as after all he has already burgled his way to billions. In dollar terms his net worth is 450 million.  The big question  - is there just ONE honest person n the completely corrupt and utterly racist anc. In fact has there EVER been one honest person in the anc. We know ou maaaaikie fails the test horribly!

Fancy his complaining bitterly about non rugby threads but he keeps posting them himself, repeatedly. Ou maaaike is unfortunately becoming seriously unhinged.

Then again ... you and all that broccoli haven't had a sane thought for just as many moons now.

Beeno is a nutcase - mad as a March Hare.    One has to worry about him.

I never supported either Clinton or Trump - just to prove his lunacy. I think the same came trough with some of his other stunts and his total absence from rugby logic.   .

Actually BeanDip, I eat a lot of veges, broccoli included. I love the stuff and beside, it's good for you.

Most of the food on my plate is veges and salad. Of course there will always be meat as well.

Not sure about you but I would hate to look like Hick. It's bad enough he's illiterate ... but illiterate and obese ... shame.

No wonder he hates the world.

Maybe if he learned to read he would know the difference between a pie crust and some good old fashioned ... broccoli.

Hallelujah...begone with Zuma all be it 10 years too late. "What have I done wrong"...he asks...yeah well, the question is...What have you done right?

I won't get too carried away with CR either, g'on call me a cynic if you want but I'll take one day at a time unless of course the ANC hangs a sharp right by dropping their policy of stripping the rich to feed a bottomless sinkhole.

There'll be no end to corruption. The best we can hope for is public money being badly spent with reasonably good intentions.

In November last year my company was offered a partnership in a scheme that sought to place a levy on LPG. ALL LPG SOLD IN SA!

The levy was supposedly going to help cover the need for greater oversight in the LPG industry but i assure you that the biggest chunk of that money would be going nowhere else but into somebody back pocket. They guy who made the offer is a family member of a very well respected ANC member and business man on the same tier as CR. I respectfully declined.

And CC it's not just blacks who are self serving. In SA we lack expertise just as much as we lack moralality. It's left up to people who have an interest in a specific industry to sit on the the committees that write the standards for various fields. In many cases these parties write the standards in a way that directly benefits their business or whatever it is that they are selling. I've witnessed this first hand.

Consultants have offered my business large contracts on the proviso of a brown envelope. They didn't even mind making these types of offers in writing. Brazen much?

It's easy to say that Zuma has had a hand in the zeitgeist but ultimately one can lead a horse to the water...

Sure Zuma is a twat. But there are very many South Africans who are just as guilty of breaking the country down piece by piece. Though on a smaller and seemingly more benign scale.

From Whites to Blacks to Indians, everyone is looking to fuck the system in some way. We're almost Italian in our pride a n finding loopholes without much of a care for the greater good.

You wont like this next bit.

I've worked mainly in four countries. Out of the four SA is by a long long way the most sketchy place to do business. In the four years that I've been here there have been numerous instances of bad/criminal acts in business that I've come across that i never once saw in any other country. Not even close. Not saying those countries are perfect, but SA and it's people's mindset is a much longer way away from perfect than any of those countries.

Not being a pessimist. Just relaying my experience and i'm sure many of you have similar stories, though your opinion might differ.

The only difference between CR and Zuma is that CR is not as stupid as Zuma. He will not be caught out as easily and he will be able to BS the people into thinking that he is a saint. I do not trust him one iota more than I trusted Zuma.

Well I do not know and neither does any of you.   While Ramaphosa got sworn in today 8 people was in the Bloem Regional Court for the Gupta Vrede Dairy Project scam.

Five of those were from Gupta firms/

There are still 5 people on the run - three are foreigners - of the other two one is a Gupta and the other Zuma's son,

This would never have happened if Zuma has been in charge,

I think the ANC knows that they will lose the next election if corruption is not dealt with comprehensively.

Balanced and fair comments there ou Mikey regarding the arrest of the Guptas and scoundrels who looted the state coffers......it would never have happened under Zuma. Full credit goes to the new sheriff in town, CR.

His next obvious move is to smoke out Zuma's cronies in parliament, amongst several are the useless and incompetent Faith Methembu and Lynne Brown, another is the Zuma lackey Gigaba.

Ex Minister of Sport and now Minister of Police Fickle Mablula needs to keep a look over his shoulder, he was a fervent Zuma supporter to the death.

CR faces a tricky path though if he hopes to avoid splitting the party like it did when Thabo Mbeki was recalled, another split will further add to the demise of the ANC only to benefit the loony EFF.

In the meantime the Rand has firmed against the Ozzie $, lets hope this trend continues.

I think the Ministers that will be fired soon will include the following:-

Dlamini - the fat bitch that nearly ruin SASA

Des van  Rooyen

Zwane

Muthambi

Brown

Zwane and Dlamini was absent from the parliamentary sitting yesterday.

Mbulala has been instrumental in acting against the Guptas in the case of the  Vrede Dairy Project scam and is a typical self-seeking ass licker.   He is after the Guptas and is helping Ramaphosa in that regard.

Gigaba will be dealt with later - he will bot be fired a few days before the Budget speech,   He will probably be moved sideways to a ministerial post where he cannot do too much damage since there is a trust issue with investors and his involvement with the Guptas,   He is on the hit list of Gordahn.

It is likely that the following moves are afoot.   Sisulu to be appointed as Deputy President since the ANC Deputy President is not an MP,   Other ministerial positions are for Gordahn, Mchunu, Jonas and Ramotloli.    My guess is that Dlamini-Zuma will be made Minister of Foreign Affairs to neutralize a possible split in the ANC.

The following are sure to be fired:-

Abrahams (NPA)

That crook and his deputy in charge of the Revenue Service

ho is On the hit lost for arrest soon is Molefe, Singh and a few others on criminal charges.   Those on the list is the ANC Deputy President and Secretary General,
