Zuma last week changed the Cabinet in an effort to get another crook in as minister of Energy so as top expedite the Russian Nuclear deal. The fact is that the deal is ubklikely to get the go-ahead from Parliament as the issue here is known to the Public and the outcry is tremendous.
I the meantime ANC Secretary General is organizing the elective college in December. He is openly against Zuma and the arrangements is likely to be made in such a way hat it harms the chances of Zuma and his looting partners.
From a judicial perspective things are getting tough as well. The FBI is investigating money-laundering by the Guptas and the Zumas and the British has launched a similar investigation.
And the NPA has asked for Zuma to provide NEW evidence why the charges of criminality re-instated by th Supreme Court should not be proceeded with. As an interested party the DA has also been asked to comment and a deadline for the comments has been set as 30 November 2017l. Nobody in SA really trust the NPA head - but he is in the middle in this case. if he decides in favour of Zuma - the matter is likely to end up in court again and the reasons he used to agree to discontinue proceeding with the charges will haveto be watertight otherwise the court will overrule any such decision.
The Zuma faction is also trying to stop the Parliamentary investigation into Eskom and other state-owned enterprises. Whether that would happen is another factor. Even after three major contributions have been made it is clear that their was corruption ao a massive scale in the case of Eskom. Figures vary - but an amount in excess of R200 billion has been uncovered thus far,
Yesterday the Parliamentary Committee received a letter and threat of legal action from the Guptas frontmen - which was ignored and the C ommittee went ahead with investigating the golden handshake of R30,1 million paid out to Molefe by the Eskom pension fund. It turned out that Eskom lied to the pension fund about Molefe's appointment and they paid for buying back 156 months of pensionable service and the Fund was affectively used to launder money to Molefe. However, it transpired that Molefe did not qualify for membership of the pension fund and the matter stinks to high heaven.
