We have a situation where by Quinton de Kock was the best batsman by some distance in the SA T20 WC team.
Yesterday in the IPL game between Bangalore and Delhi - Kohli and De Villiers piled on the runs and scored at a rate of more than 10 rpo making 133 runs of the 191 runs scored by Bangalore. That put Bangalore in a very strong position.
De Kock came on and scored 108 runs from 51 balls and was out in the 19th over with his team on 184 runs with 10 balls to go to win the game. They duly won the game with 5 balls to spare.
Delhi has not beaten Bangalore for 8 years in the IPL competition and this win by De Kock is a classic. Mozart claimed De Kock cannot play spin bowling and the Aussie bowlers - but Watson was one of the bowlers who suffered from De Kock's onslaught and the spinners he dealt with by disdain hitting fours at will.

How did Wiese do? This thread seems a bit selective. De Kock is the exception that proves the rule. One out of four.

For 18 months we were peppered with attacks on De Kock because he could not play spin - he could not bat against Australian bowlers, etc. The attack was relentless because he replaced Graeme Smith in the Proteas ODI and T20 squads.
What happened in the recent T20 WC? What happened thus far in the ODI's and T20's. De Kock was the youngest ODI player in the least number of games played to get 10 ODI centuries - he was the second youngest player to get a century in the IPL - he has the second highest number of runs scored in this IPL.
You try and sidetrack your despicable comments on the guy in the past by bringing in totally unrelated issues relating to other players. That is not the issue here - your prejudiced and ignorant statemen ts of the past are.

Nobody is always right, you are just more often wrong than most. I never made despicable comments about De Kock, I raised the issue that on a spinning track or against express fast bowling his technical issues will trump his eye....an hypothesis yet to be disproven.
