Aliassime toys with Alcatraz

This is what I was afraid was going to happen to Carlos. Once the initial shock of his energy dissipates his contemporaries would find his game pretty predictable. Aliassime at 3 wins and zero losses seems to have Alcatraz well sorted. At times today the Spaniard mimicked a small engine revving in the red line making many mistakes and seemingly totally frustrated.

Alcaraz remains the no 1 player int the world - even though he had an off day yesterday - but the chances remain that he will win the Paris tournament next week.    He si a reals tar with all the qualities of a star player.
