Sorry Moz, only just came back on here now.
I think 49 million was far too much for the lad, but I don't believe he's as poor as he's made out this season under Pellegrini.
What has stood out for me when watching him is that unlike when he was at Liverpool he seems tentative to take on people and attack the space and now would much rather trap the ball and play a safe pass.
He's still only 20, he's got many great qualities and experience under his belt, he'll be playing for one of the most highly acclaimed managers next year under Pep, it's all down to him to make this work, he's the one who could push himself onto to that next level or just end up the SWP/Lennon.

If you compare him with other youngsters like Ali, Rashford and Marcel, all as young or younger...he pales. He is too hesitant to play directly, takes too much time over the ball and squanders opportunities.
