The winners were as follows:-

Bastad    -  Andrey Rublev

After struggling a bit in the first set  Rublev won the set 7-6 (tie-breaker 7-3) - but he won the second set 6-0.     

Lest look at the one from a Tennis perspective Rublev was ranked seven and the rankings of the players ranked from 4 to 6 were leading Rublev by  the following points compared to where it is now:

*     Casper Ruud             480         250

*     Stefanos Tsitsipas      325         120

*      Holgar Rune             300           95

Ruud is he number 1 seed in the Hamburg series and Rublev the number   2 seed - Tsitsipas and Rune is not playing  this week.    If Rublev repeat  his eprformancxe in Hamburg he will end up being the number 4 seed.*
