This kid iIs perhaps the most exciting SA golfer since Ernie. At twenty years old the youngest player on the PGA A tour and one of the youngest winners ever. He is also the longest driver on the PGA tour with effortless power.
He was in the lead after the first round and never more than two or three shots out of the lead for the rest of the tournament. He showed terrific maturity and nerve to force a position in the 3 man playoff.
In the playoff he almost blew it hitting an excellent shot into the short hole but a huge bounce saw him in deep rough. A clutch 6 footer kept him alive. And then he had 3 serves for the match, longish putts that would have clinched things. Finally dropping the third.
Temperament, huge straight length and clutch purtting. Only his chipping needs a bit of work. Great to have another golfing prospect emerge.
