#     Djokovic because of his tournament substandxard performances in all tournments he played in this year  and failure in the only clay court tourment he played in - after todays performance in Geneva the expert would have reduced his winning gchances by a further 20% of being in Round 3,

n       Sinner and Alcaraz because of their recent injury and suspicion as to their prorabnces bearing in mind the Dr's  advice to Sinner not to play in Rokand Garros and thee are oubts about Alcaraz because of the injury issue.

Rain - always a problem since day 1 and delaying matches every day - today totally disrupting the match plan for today.   Only 5 matches all played under roof  completed and tomorrow there will have to be 27 round 2 matches played,   

Bad start to the  day.  It 11:00 SA time 9 matches started and by 11:45 - the Medvedev match was completed - while the other 8 matches diod not continue due to rain,   If the rain continues we will see another 4 or 5 matches played under roof today,   That will leave 22 matcghs o b played tomorrow - of those being    

I am not convinced that Djokovic was impressive  in playing  Herbert - ranked  no 143 in he A PT eankings.    He looked somewhat uner the weather despite his 3 set win.    His nxt opponent will be a clay court specialist - Carballes Baena the number 62 rankd player in the wold.  S o I am no putting any money on him winning he match,  

Alcaraz seems still to have problems with his arm injury- he won in 4 sets, but his problem is with the lack of pace and inaccuracy of his forarm play.  In my view he would be lucky to get through  to Round 3 an may find his next match beyond his present injury problem.

Rudofs hig pace game was too much for his opponent,   However, w know by now that no on knew which Rublev turned up to play in Round 3.

Sinner seems to be over his injury - but was somewhat hesitant in his match todday and took three sets to beat the elderly Wawrinka,   

I took a look at the weather forecasts for today and tomorrow and came to the conclusion that the real chances are that of the 27 matches still to be completed a maximum of 12 will be completed under a covered roof by tomorrow night.   Sunday will also have rain interuptions - so they will likely complete the Round 2 matches by Sunday evening.   It means that all 32 Round 2 matches will have to be completed on 3 and 4 June 2024 - 16 Round 4 matches on 4 May 2024, 8 quarterfinals on 5 June - semi's on 6 june and finals on 8 June 2023.    Any more rain next week will inevitably lead to players playing more than one round per day.
