Wayde had the world at his feet....he could have ruled the 400 for years. The first mistake was trying to run the 200, to do a Michael Johnson. He simply isn't explosive enough for the 200. Then he does a Rory McIlroy. Beautiful runner...but will he ever get back to his potential.

Are you aware of the following?

"Two months after the 2017 Worlds, he tore a meniscus and an ACL in a celebrity tag rugby match"

That's the Rory McIlroy reference.....Rory did himself in playing in a pick up soccer game. And he has never been the same since. Ernie got the same injury as Wayde sailing a small boat and was never quite as fluid. Schumacher is a vegetable as a result of a skiing accident. It must be tempting if you're a young bloke to enjoy the things your mates do.....but if you're a finely tuned athlete, it's a risk.

All that talent and potential isn't worth it if it become a prison...life is meant to be lived...and it's not like a game of touchies is risky behavior....hard luck though.
