….holding off John Rahm while shooting the lowest 4 round score to par in PGA history, breaking a record held by Ernie Els. Is this a ‘conditions win’ where Hawaii duplicates conditions in Brisbane? Or is this the year he emerges….he has found some additional distance out driving Rahm more often than not. And he has always been a fine iron player and one of the great putters.
It looked for a while as if Higgo might challenge but he fell back into the pack…still he was the youngest player in the field. Probably our best hope for a top 10 golfer, something we have missed since the days of Ernie and the Goose. The pipeline has gone dry.
