Lets go back to May 2022 when Zverev suffered a serious injury that could have been career-ending and his return to play was delayed since then.   His first match was played yesterday in an exhibition tournament in the UAR.

His opponent in the match was  Djocovic who had n match since winning the EOYT Championship in Turin a month ago.

So what was the outcome of the match.   Zverev beat Djokovic easily 6-3, 6-4.    So it takes a break of 78 months and Zverev found return o the game of tennis easier than Djokovic did after an absence of only 1 month.

The next game of Djokovic was to involve Djokovic and Kyrgios - he was at the side of the court - cheering on his team, but decided not to play and the match was changed to Kyrgios playing Dimitrov.   This series are being turned to a farce by Djokovic.  Not very popular in Dubai at present.

In end I think this series was turned the series into a farce by Djokovic and other players and seems to me this special exhibition series outside of the ATP calendar is going to be doomed and not repeated next year.   The last two matches were between -

*    Zverev vs Seppi; and

*    Djokovic vs Ofner

The question is where did the organizers find Seppi and Ofner from?   They must have been on holiday in Dubai and when the other players opted out one by one - the two were somehow found.
