Kyrgios will play in the US Open - but then what?

According to a media repot Kyrgios will be able to play in te US Open - but thereafter in October will have to appear in a court case about assault charges e has to face in October in Canberra,   

These charges apparently stemmed from an incident last year and court hearings have been delayed a number of times on his request.   At the time it was alleged that the charges stemmed from a complaint laid by his ex-girlfriend with the Australian Police - but publicly nothing much is known about what led to the complaint.   

Hope the charges do not lead to a jail sentence  since it would lead to a further delay in his tennis performances - he did well this year in tournaments and a jai sentence would interrupt progress in his his tennis career..        

Common, Mike ... jail? Seriously?

Yes he is a little distracted at the moment but that'll pass. 

I would have preferred the court case to be dealt with before the US open.

He needs to have his full focus on the tournament.

Since we do not have details of the physical assault case laid by his ex-girlfriend  I am not sure what the outcome would be.  If it ir related to potential rape it would lead to jail time - but lets not guess about that one.
