SA does not play enough games and the net result is that players are not sure where they fit into the greater scheme of things.

players like kleinveldt, jp duminy and faf du plessis are not good enough for ODI's....being close to 30 they have been given more than enough chances to prove themselves but have yet to deliver.

CSA NEEDS TO MAKE THE PROTEAS PLAY MORE...EXPOSE THEM MORE TO PRESSUE SITUATIONS.

quinton de kock, riley roussouw. and marchant de lange really need to be looked at...bowlers like morris and lobe need to up there pace as mid 130"s does not cut it at international level if you down swing the ball. steyn swings it at 140+...

aaron phagiso has really shown he has the ablity to play and i hope he really gets more chances to play as well but there is massive problems with the proteas and CSA needs to get its act together

Agree for the most part. de Kock, Phangiso and de lange need to be in.

Regarding Morris... i have followed him extremely closely... his pace is consistently between 135 and 145. That is the perfect pace for a first change bowler.

Id still stick with Faf and JP. JP has had a good run with the Proteas.

However i do feel for Rossouw.

Parnell.... what has happened to him? Promised so much... now he is a run of the mill first class bowler.

One player that we need to keep in the mix in ODI's is Ryan Mclaren. The boy has great BMT and is very aggressive. I have a feeling that pretty soon he is going to take us over the ropes in a very tight and big game (World Cup Final perhaps??). I just like his aggressive and confident aura. We need more of those types of players.

There is definitely a problem with the ODI and 20-20 squad. They have players like Duminy and Du Plessis that are really yo-yo players - unfortunately more down than up. I agree that we need to bring big hitters like Rosssouw and De Kock into the set-up. Rossouw is a very good opener and should have been selected ahead of Pietersen when the squad was announced. De Kock is definitely the other opener we need. I think that instead of Kleinveldt De Lange should also be in the squad. I believe that the following team would be better than we have at present:- 1 Rossouw 2 De Kock 3 Amla 4 De Villiers 5 Miller 6 Duminy/Faf (one not both) 7 McClaren 8 De Lange/Morris 9 Steyn 10 Morkel 11 Phangiso/Peterson - If the latter play he can go up to 8 in the batting order. On certain pitches were turn is not going to be important - I think they can play both De Lange and Morris - with no spinner involved. I do not think we can go on with players we have and some needs to go. Also I think De Villiers as a captain should not keep wicket as well. H would be better if that added responsibility is not entrusted to him. De Kock can keep wicket as well.
