Very fine match but at the critical moments Augie-Aliassime blinked. Medvedev in his boring way was willing to stay in the point pattern….cross court after cross court. Eventually Alliasime would try and go up the line. He lost 90% of those points.
And when Medvedev was interviewed he said he asked himself what Novak would do….to booing from the crowd. No doubt if he plays Nadal the crowd will be pulling hugely for Nadal. But Nadal has a tough match against Berretini to get there.
