Medvedev out of Monte Carlo Open

After practicing with Nadal on Monday, Medvedev who has a flat in Monaco and live there (ie not in a bio-secure bubble), was tested positive for Covid 19 and wothdrawn from the Monaco Open. 

Medvedev was seeded  in the tournament would have had to face Rublev and Nadal to go further in the tournament.   The competition to win in the bottom half of the draw will have the mentioned 2 as main candidates,  

Djokovic will face the wunderkid Sinner in Round 2 tomorrow and  Tsitsipas will face Karasev in Round 2 today,

Your hero Berretini went out in the second  round of the  Monaco Open - beaten by a  rookiie,   I have watched a number of  games  he played in  and am not overly impressed by him.   I an niuh more impressed by Sinner than by him.
