The 8 Particiants are dividied in two groups - namely the GREEN GROUP AND THE RED GROUP.   The players in each group must play round robin matches within the Group and the TOP 2 players will go through to the Semifinals - the winner in the Grren Group will play the runner-up in the Red Group and the winner in the Red Group will play the runner-up in the Green Group.

GREEN GROUP

1      Novak Djokmovic

4      Jannik Sinner

6       Stafanos Tsitsipas

8       Holger Rune

RED GROUP

2      Carlos Alcaraz

3      Danil Medvedev

5      Andrey Rublev

7      Alexander Zverev

The comments of the commentators about Alcarraz being positive as to Covid was clearly BS and he is playing in the Red Group.    He appareantly had a heavy flu - nothing more.

Full particculars on matches will be made available as soon as it becomes available.

Basically every one of he 8 players will start off before many matches are played o get $325 000 for qulifying to play in the Turin Championships,   For every Round Robin match they won they get $390 000,    So far th situation is as follws:-
Green Group
1   Sinner                          -      $1495 0002   Djokovic                      -      $1105 0003   Rune                             -     $715 0004   Tsitsipas                       -      $325 0005   Hurkacz                        -     $152 000
Red Group
1   Alcaraz                          -     $1105 000
2   Medvedev                     -     $1105 0003   Zverev                          -      $715 0004   Rublev                          -      $325 000

If a player wins all Round Robin Matches and the semi and final he could earn $4,06 million in earnings.   Only 2 of the 8 players can earn that ideal sum of money.   - namely Sinner and Medvedev.

Hell of a match between Zverev and Traz. It looked like the German had done his ankle again, but he served his way to victory…although it must be said two incredible passes landed right on the baseline T. That could have changed the match if missed

No exccuses - since Wimbledon Alcaraz was substandard on hard course surfacxes and there ican be no excuses as a result.    that is just not good enough on his part anyway and he would drop in the ratings if that be the case.

I am not sure at all about Zverev being injured.  If he cannot continue in the series he will be replaced by Hurkacz or Fritz    Pity - if Zverev has another ankle injury it could be career-ending.

Zverev looked okay….I’m guessing he never rolled the ankle. Traz seems a bit flat and I think players have become accustomed to his tactics. He needs a break.

There was a withdrawal from the Green Group though.   Tsi.tsipas after a third game today retired hurt and he was replaced by Hurkacz.    The latter would play only one match in the toumnament though and that would be against Djokovic.   Djokovic is playing Sinner at 22:00 CET this evening.

Djokovic was the red hot favorite to beat Sinner - but I did not like what I saw in the game against Rune and put a R100 bet on Sinner winning.   Nice win from my perspective.    I think Djokovic is getting unpopular from a crowd perspective - his arguments with the chair umpire before the start of Set 3 was uncalled for and boo-ed by the crowd.

Djocovic was  hassled by the crowd and got some alarmingly bad calls. It wasn’t surprising he was upset. That said it was an excellent match. Novak played conservatively in the decisive tie break and paid the the price. Sinner crushed a number of mid court balls.

Sinner is a very impressive young player, a now great serve and huge ground shots. I also appreciate  his gentlemanly demeanor, so much more mature than Rune and Alcatraz.

M/ozart

Djokovic conduct in both matches he played in was bad and not sportsmanlike.  In both matches he had long arguments with the chair umpire.    Every player got some bad calls - but those were always corrected on appeal.   Arguments with the chair umpire was also present in his match against Rune.    It took be that it is aimed at upsetting the opponent by unnecessary delays and distraction and that is what caused him to be boo-ed by the crowd in both matches.

I state facts - you are spreading  BS.    In both matches  Djokovic played in  he was  arguing  for about 3 minutes each with the chair umpire for really no reason at all.    That was rude and the public did not like it,   His condut were poor in both matches and he deseved the accompanying bo-ing by the c rowd.

In the Green group the round robin matches has been completed and Sinner will go hroughas the number 1 player,   Based n his personal experience dplaying Djokovic Rune saidx his amin objective n the sedries was to beat Sinner and thus eliminate  Djokovic from the series sem-finals.   Cannot blame him for that.   He came very near to achieving that objective.though.

The final round rbin matches fcor the Red group is today,    Medvedev will be the number 1 player in theat Group , but Zverev and Alcaraz are in competition to get into the semi-finals. .
