Osaka better than Serena?

Has anybody every hit the ball consistently harder than Osaka? She is clearly struggling to get back into major competition since her psychological issues. But the ball striking is incredible. Down a break point at 4 all in the first set she hits 3 aces….116 mph flat to the corner….an untouchable wide slice ….and  120mph down the middle.

As Chris Evert said….she dictates every point, the opponent only wins when she makes a mistake.

She may be a bit undercooked for this US Open, but the woman’s game is so much better with her back.

At also applies to the youngr male players - in the French open the difference n pace was more than 20 kms per hour  faster than those of  the older players.   Djokovic was a slightly saster ball hitter than the other oldies  and he is also going down hill.
