Some of the youngsters - eg Helecka and Van Assche - beat older players and is now through to play in Round 2.

The only top 10 ranked player who lost in Round 1 who lost in Round 1 is Auger-Aliassime and only losses by a number of players can keep him in the Top 10 ranking

There are only 4 players that could still change their rankings  in the French Open.

Next Grand Slam coming  up is Wimbledon starting on 28 June 2023.     Inbetween there ae still the following tournaments to be played;

Next week    -      ATP   250      Hertogenbosch

                            ATP   250       Stuttgart

Second week   -   ATP   500      Queens (London)

                             ATP  500       Halle

It is unlikely that any of the Top 10 players will play next week in the two tournaments - but the case is different in the case of the Queens and Halle tournaments - which are both grass court tournaments used by top players to prepare them to play on grass courts.

However, the latter two tournaments will not impact on the  seedings in the Wimbledon tournament - so the above seedings are very much what we can expect the seedings will be for Wimbledon.    Aside - it is unlikely that Carreno Busta, Berrettini and Kyrgios will play in any of the two ATP 250 tournaments as well as in the Wimbledon Tournament.     So the next three spaces ie from 33 to 35 will come into contention as potential seedings and they are likely to race at the two ATP 250 series next week.   If the three players mentioned do not play at Wimbledon  the following players become contenders to be seeded at Wimbledon:-

*    Alenjandro Davidovich Fokina

*     Botic van der Zandschulp

*     Ben Shelton

*     Ugo Humbert

However, we would know by Saturday which players would play in the two ATP tournaments  next week that could impact on the Wimbledon seedings.
