….. who was ‘forced’ to retire when losing the second set tie breaker after Rune had swept the first set . Not much more to say except….it’s tough at the top.

Did you watch  the match?     Alcaraz went into th e game nursing  an injury and in the end retired on doctors' advice.

You may not have noticed because you do not understand tennis.   Rune had a dream run over the last month and even won his first title in a tournament.   He always had the talent and is now coming through.

At this rate Rune will be in the top 10 ranking early in 2023

Retired when he was being outplayed in a tie breaker he had to win to stay in the match. But he was fine to play up to that point.  To me it just seems like poor sportsmanship.

No Mozart

They called up a medical doctor - not only a physio normally dealing  with minor injuries - so what you wrote is normal Mozart BS spreading.

Oh sure he was fine to play right up till he knew he was going to lose then he stopped. Poor sportsmanship, but of course you would never admit that.

Stop talking shit - shows you do not now anything.   Alcaraz struggled for a while before the medical doctor was called in.    There are now doubts whether he would be able to play in the EOT Championship in Turin.

By the way you aways enjoy injury tpo asportsmen so you are enjoying this injury vcery mmkuch.

Apparently Alcatraz is injured and has withdrawn from the ATP finals which is a pity for him. But given his recent form this is probably wise, he looks overplayed, injury or not. He is just beginning to discover the grueling demands that Nadal, Roger and Novak had to deal with for almost 20 years to win 20 plus majors.

As for the concession yesterday, unless the injury occurred during the tie breaker, which it didn’t …it still has the appearance of retiring the moment the match was out of reach,
