I saw this youngster in a previous tournament on clay where he was giving his opponent real problems - he lost the match against a top 20 player here a deciding set was necessary - but I saw him at 17 and could not believe how good he really is when it comes to shot-making and attacking play.

When posting the players in the torunament in Stuttgart I saw his name and looked at his odds to win. So I put a R50 bet on him wining in a match where his opponent was the bookmakers favorite at R1,24 to win - the odds on Justin Engel wining was R3,75.

So his oppenent won the first set - because Engel as the commentaors sad was nervous - but Engel won the second set, So come along the third deciding set and he was 4-2 down and had a long injury treatment - not clear for what. He on the next three serves in a row and was 5-4 up but he was facing his oppomemts serve and fighting to take the match - but could not and in the end a tie-breaker was necessary. He lost his first serve - but then the battle really started and ended with him on serve at 6-5 to win the match. No problem - he did,

His next oppoent will be Alex Michelsen or gail Monfils - but if he is not really injred I am going to put another R50 on him to win that one as well.

I think this youngster will be the Sacha Feinberg-Ngomezulu of tennis in future,

In the second match on Thrusday he will face Alex Micjelson ranked in the 30's and was for a time the number 32 ranked player in World tennis. But he is not doing as well as he did in 2024 and did not develop further,

The odds on Michelsen winning is R1.21 with Engel on R4,25 again putting my money where my mouth is a R50 bet on Engel winning is on the cards,

Engel another win and who would be the next sufferer going to play against him. He wil either beat Auger-Aliassime or .Mpethshi Perricard as a 17 year old - can't beleive it. Watch this guy - he will be in the Top 10 players before he is 19 years old.

Wonder what the odds will be on him winning in the quarterfinal.

Another R50 bet placed on Engel beating - although the bet is not as good as was the vase in Round 2 - the odds are lower and is still going down with the odds on Augur-Aliassime incresing, Show the bookmakers are worried about the outcome,
