At 262 for 7 at the close of day one the proteas may not be as badly off as one woul dassume. from what I saw briefly this wicket is lively and there was a lot of swing going on. A score of 300 would be quite good?

Steyn and Philander could be unplayable in these conditions. Wicket also has bounce so Morne will be looking forward to having a goas well.

No rain forecast for the rest of the test. So it is clear sailing from here. Let us start the new day well. Few quick runs to get us past 300  hopefully.

Well Ek we got 309 all out. England have just lost Strauss - another Morkel scalp. They are 29 for 1.

Lets go!

Come on Philly!

Make this your test!

A good game with the bat.... make it a great game with the ball!

England are 9 for 2 and need 346 to win.

England have a very big ask, if I am not mistaken this will probably be one of their highest totals to achieve ina fourth innings. Hopefully our bowlers come to the party today.

I always thought that cricket is a game for gentlemen - but it seems that the game now is played by hooligans like Prior.   To stand with the ball in hand waiting for the batter to lift his foot or bat and then claim a stumping is disgraceful and a real abuse of the rules.   How long can that holding of the ball lasts?   I think that piece of chcany i an abuse and should be eliminated.   It never was the intention to allow for crookery like that.

Hope for that one alone the POMS gets beaten badly today.   They would in any event try and get Prior out for a duck and then the abuse will follow loud and clear.

They have actually explained that insident quite well.  The ball is dead once it has been caught and controlled AND the batsmen have settled in their creases. In that case Morne was still busy finding has balance and has not stopped moving. It was actually Morne's own "moving and instability" after he played the shot, that opened the door for Prior.

To me the "unsporting" play by the Pomms were there constant intimidating bowling at Steyn and Morkel. To me it was almost as if they were out to injure Steyn at one stage. All within the rules but IMO there is a fine line between intimidated bowling and malicious bowling. Granted, Steyn and Morkel did dish it out as well, but that was more in retaliation in my view.

windpomp it appears snapster has been on about Morne so long now that he has brainwashed some folk!

Score is now 71 for 4 with Trott and Bairstow batting.

Have you missed the fact that there is a Morne in the cricket team as well, and who was stumped by Prior?
