Now in the outright lead at -5.

Make that -6 . . . a 3 shot lead! Could be a great weekend of sport for SA.

Now he's unravelling. 4 shots dropped in the last half an hour.

He has a very solid game…drives pretty straight which is a big factor at Oakmont because of the titanic rough. Anybody around par has a shot

Amazing win by JJ Spaun….he recovered from some really bad luck, at the start….hitting a flag and making a bogey instead of a birdie for example. I wonder how far that putt on 18 would have gone by if it hadn’t dropped ….it wasn’t going fast, but showing no signs of stopping.

Still after failing in the Players playoff this was a brave performance.
