Was wondering the sam ething Denny. Maybe Ek knows.

It appears St georges is a hoodoo ground for us and commnetators are saying the wicket will be slow and low and suit nz.

Things will be tougher this test.

Just Kleinveldt. in for Philander

Pitch is slow and low.......No swing wind, wind is coming from the other side.

If the openers can see the first few balls off they have license to bat for two days and both break lara's record.

Peterson opens the day with a 4 off the first ball.

Wagner will enjoy playing against his big mates from Affies, AB and Faf.

However. NZ do not have the pace to do anything here.

I reckon the kid is something special, it'll be a shame if is career is dominated by injury. Ozzies had a good one in Bruce Reid but he suffered too many back problems which put paid to his career.

Denny, Reid was a bit before my time :) never saw him play. But from his length(2m tall) I can only deduce that he must have been more the same type of bowler as Morkel, that used the bounce, tall guys can generate some bounce.

From what I can remeber a guy who had tremendious potential as a fast bowler but injuries took away all that, was Brett Schultz. He would always be that guy that you ask yourself , what if....
