So, would this be the time PSD get a chance to front up against the wee feeble ABs forwards?

i always had the feeling that du toit would have been selected over flip for the All Blacks anyway.
regardless, du toit is a way better option over flip, but i think krugers going to get the nod ahead this week.

A great pity as he was needed for Saturday. Glad they realised it was unintentional as it may stop all the squealings we have been having from the kiwis.
How many months has that serial thug nonu got? His tackle on jean could have led to a fatality.

only one week????????? how the heck is that not intentional? From where Tomua started running from, Flip had time to have a cup of tea and biscuit, plan and execute - just like that Bismarck elbow on Messam trachea . The weak SANZAR Judicary yet favouring another Bok thug. Think Greyling, Bismarck and now Flip......and that Dr Jannie eye gouge???? Such bias is getting too regular and too obvious tsk tsk tsk! Hakwa preaching the hard truth.

Finally back online! Anyway, I also think it was intentional by flip. I don't like him, his ball handling is crap and he is a penalty machine. His grunt is usefull for scrums & rucks etc, but outside that he is a big clumsy liability! A dirty player and the sooner we can replace him permanently in the Bok squad the better.

darn, bluebok, u sure know how to take the fighting wind out of someone's sails

Since he came on the scene he's been nothing but trouble. First for the Bulls and now for the Bokke.
Attracts penalties like shit does flies.
One needs a little more than physicality and grunt. Talent and skill would be a pleasant surprise.
Meyer's hand has now been forced by this stupidity.
Let's see what Meyer comes up with ... hopefully he won't slot Du Toit into the starting 15 but rather from the bench in the last 30 ... depending of course on how Kruger's playing.

Hakwa you sneaky bugger!!!

Flip just pisses me off , I keep trying to look at positives in his game. Yes, he is good in the ruck and gives us the needed power come scrum time to dominate. But to give away 5 penalties a game or being yellow carded is just not worth it. I know bakkies has had his time but I almost feel that we need him now and we just need to work on the next crop of youngsters until they are ready. Kruger and Flip are journeyman that just don't add any value to the squad or even the match day. I would almost move alberts to 4 and put PSDT or Kolisi at 7. How many line out options do you need?
30 Sept 2013, 15:35#13
@hakwa. Oh boo hoo. Flip is only banned for a week. The net result is that he will not be playing against NZ in the final RC game of the series this week. Had he been banned for four weeks the net result would still have been the he would not be playing against NZ in the final RC game of the series this week.
But that thug Nonu will be playing.....................
PS. Flip used his elbow to guard his sore shoulder.

Hakwa, I feel for you man. NZ would have been better off if Flip wasn't banned, but the boks do need some help to get Meyer to select the right players.

Mozart, we have a problem with our locks. We have become so use to the Matfield / Botha combo that we never spend time investing in other locks. We then had Bekker, but a few injury ridden seasons, decided to pack his bags and head to Japan to preserve his career.
Good youngsters knocking about but not guys I would pick to play the all blacks this week. I still think PSDT is a better option than Kruger but Meyer will stick with what he knows and will never make such a big gamble.

Every young lock struggles in their first tests. Even Etzebeth who is the best young lock to hit the scene in 10 years was in trouble in his first tests. So KC we can play Stephanie, but it would be hardly fair on the player or the team. Equivalent to starting Gaffie at flyhalf against NZ before he had any test experience. But if Meyer senses he can't win with Kruger, he is a bold enough decision maker to start Stephanie.
