The above is defibnitely not the players I would select in the forwards scenario. The reason why I put Etzebeth on the bench is that he has not had any playing tinme this year and will likely be phased in on the first two matches. He remains the first choice lock. Malherbe is likely to be phased in as well - since he has had an injury provlem for the last two months as well. Willem Alberts should not have been in the squad at all - I would have Marcell Coetzee at 7 and Mohoje on the bench
If Meyer wants to use Pollard in future - the best way to start is to put him in the starting line-up against Argentina. I woyuld not start with Pienaar or Hougaard, but with Reinach.
And as for Matfield - the least said the better.
The above are all subject to medical reports to be done tomorrow. If Beat is not available - there would be a major problem at loosehead and as neither Du Toit or Van der Mewe (Lions one) is not in the squad.
Summay
I am pretty sure the AB team will be as indicated - but am rather unsure about the Wallabies one and am open to correction on that one. Meyer's selections are always on teh conservative side and there may be differences in respect of the Springbok side.
