so copying my thread on 2013 All Blacks thread, i was wondering with the players who have played for the Boks last year, who would make the Bok team of the year,,,


Boks

1 beast, 2 bizzy, 3 j du plesiss


4 f van der mewe, 5 lady elziabeth

6 s kolisi, 7 w alberts, 8 d vermeulen

9 f du plesiss, 10 p lambie

12 JDV (c), 13 jj englebrechett

11 b habana, 15 z kirchner, 14 w le roux

16 a strauss, 17 c oosthuizen, 18 f malherbe, 19 j krguer, 20 f louw, 21 r pienaar, 22 m steyn, 23 j serfontein

only tough one was having to include krichner, would have preferred to have selected jp, but i didnt feel he had done enough with the very limited time he had to warrant a selection in my team, so with a heavy heart i selected krichner with le roux on the wing.

meyer didnt really make the most of his squad, opting to bring in old faces which paid of in the short term, but what are the long term effects???
IMO meyers RWC selection plan is based on a few of the veterans we have seen added to the Boks team recently, the bakkies, the du preezs, the steenkamps and the fouries.
