Just looking for some rugby to watch over the coming weekends but there are hardly any games to get excited about.

The only game that I thought would be great was the France v Ireland but it was more like French Ooh La La rugby and Ireland still stuck in their old way of play. It was completely one sided as the Irish slipped of tackles and struggled to get out of their half and get any momentum. Where as the French had a lot of lucky bounces but, what do they say, fortune fortune favour the brave.

Looking ahead, I just can't see any good match ups.

Maybe England vs Ireland and then France vs England are about the only two games worth watching.

As for Italy, Scotland and Wales, none of these excite me

Scotland should probably be hitting a lot harder than they have been. But yeah, France/England is the big one left, but I'll watch Ireland/England as well and maybe catch a Scottish game against the big boys too.

Round 1

Italy v Scotland might be a good match up, but not a rugby spectacular

Round 2

No games of real intersest other Scotland v England, the former being the bogey team of England

Round 3

England v Ireland, however Ireland is on the decline and potential tester for England to see if they have improved. 11 games unbeaten for England

Round 4

Absolutely no games of interest

Maybe Scotland v France, but highly doubt it

Round 5

France v England, depends if England lost to Ireland or Scotland

The 6 nations warps the real contest for years. Where as the championship every team can every team on the weekend. Between Australia, NZ, Arg and SA we see far more competitive games. Although, NZ was harder, Australia played better rugby and SA was a mid to bad team, but these teams would still beat the northern hemisphere teams hands down.

I think Ireland is slipping and England and France are on the up. Wales is a nowhere team and so is Italy. Scotland can play well on the day but they don't have the bench.

So I guess the 6 nations is a damp squib

It used to be that the Italy matches were one sided and to some extent Scotland. Now if you buy the Irish demise which looked real yesterday….there is only one relevant game. And even in that case, England’s status hangs on a few performances.

Which leaves France. But as the commentators gushed yesterday I couldn’t help but think of 14 Boks outplaying much of the same team. Although Jalibert for Ntmack is a big improvement. And then there is JB Gros starting at loosehead, a player who wouldn’t make the bench for the Sharks.

Rugby is dishing up some meager fare these days.

Another weekend of boring 6 nations rugby. Only Scotland and England looks interesting. Lets see if Italy can pull of a big scalp in Ireland or will they bounce back.

France v Wales will just be seal clubbing.

England Scotland, mainly to go to England but they could come undone

This is a very important match for England. The Scots hate us so much that they always get it together against us. Murrayfield is a hellish place to go if you’re English.

Pasta boys should feel hard done by having their try chalked off to a pass that would have been marked as flat in most situations.

Scotland completely outplayed England and still home of the brave and free.

Freeeeedom!!!

Yup, another boring weekend of 6 nations rugby. We have on the list

Friday 6th March

20:10 Ireland - Wales

This game might be interesting, but I am not holding my breath. For once I am shouting for Wales but it might be a cricket score after Ireland demolished England. So the to me is a stalemate.

Saturday 7th March

14:10 Scotland - France

Scotland never get themselves into a mindset to beat any other team other than England. They have dropped Duhan and they lack a bench that can come in on in the final quarter. They seem to fade away in the 2nd half.

16:40 Italy - England

This might be the only interesting game, England looked in control for 11 games straight win they went on their winning run but now they don't know who to pick where. They should take a leaf out of Rassie book in how to build team culture and alignment camps throughout the year. Especially given all of their players are in England so there should be no excuse.

Part of me hopes Italy takes this one.

This 6 Nations has been surprisingly interesting. I expected a lot more one side matches, but at least two of each weekends matches have been entertaining and I would argue all 3 matches in the last round.

KC has been trashing the 6N forever.

The only time he comments on the 6N is when he says how boring it is.

Well, if this is a boring edition of the 6N then I'm going back in the archives to find the really exciting and surprising ones.

What is clear as daylight - the series this tear is a farce - I will be surprised if Scotland is the champion team this year,

What is crystal clear - evey week there is a serious cometition as to whiich team is the worst in rounds, This week it was a fight to the finish to find anpother low in perormance levels,

Taking into account the opposition - England won the competition this week, with France a close second.

The 6 Nations is always a good watch……Wales put up an amazing fight against Ireland, Scotland beat a shell-shocked France and now we lose to Italy for the first time ever. It’s been a crazy weekend.

Well In the Plums, I do, It did serve up some great rugby this weekend. I think Wales was robbed, clear forward pass and then obstruction running for Ireland to get that try. Wales hung in there like they did against Scotland.

Wow, what a game from Scotland. That said, the conditions suited them for once to the type of rugby that they wanted to play, but France was their own worst enemies. Du Pont for all his praise looked so incompetent. That forward pass on his goal line, intercept pass, made one good contribution to rip the ball in the tackle and get it to the French backs.

It was a great game to watch, but Scotland did fade and let France back in and gave them a bonus point.

Well done Italy, it was always on the cards. They have been building over the last few years and have some fantastic youth. Their numbers 12 is a beast. 103 kg, 186cm, good pace and strength, making hits and breaking the line. Shows the value of a world class centre. Not the best game by any standards but Italy was the best team as they played within themselves where England continues to play like many teams, Poor Marcus Smith once the darling of the stoop had to sit on the sidelines until the last 5 min. No pollock until the final 10 min. Just show that Borthwick is a dud with no brains. England must be missing Eddie now. They are so English ethno centric that they don’t know how to get the best players.

I don't think any of us can understand why Marcus is being excluded in the way he is.

And the to make matters worse, Finn was ignoring instructions from Itoje yesterday to the point where they had a spat.

Again, imagine Sacha or Manie directly disobeying Siya or Eben. There would be hell to pay. It's inconceivable, no matter how good Sacha is, that he would just ignore orders. And that's a team culture thing, a primary responsibility of the coach.

And then there is Cunningham-South who is massive, powerful and looked excellent in NZ, and he's also been ignored.

There are others players to but it's mainly how Marcus had been treated that gets my goat. I remember some match threads last year where Marcus started and his name popped up time and again for making positive impacts. Apparently that's not what Borthwick wants lol

So France look very beatable, England aren't nearly where they need to be...things are all on track for the Boks in 27 mwhahahahaha!!!

Looking at the team performances yestrday - I di not give a sing le team from Europe to eb in the semi's in 2027 RWC - the three teams thtnk will be in the semis' are South Africa, New Zaland and Argentina - with a lot o luck Scoland may fill the furt position.

I think the NH teams ha ve a majr problem - they have emdicore coaches with imited coaching expertise in identifyin g and developing players, They will pay Erasmus as much as Euroo 8 million to coach teams in Europe,

I would compare the Irish, Scottish and En glish coaches 5 out o 10 when it comes toc oaching. Bing a human - all humans make msitakes - I will gove Erasmus 9 out of ten. Since 2004 we had coaches ranging from 1 out of 10 up to 5 out of ten - with White at 5, Meyer at 3,5 and the rest 2 out of ten,

NZ, if they can get their sh!t sorted...and the tour to SA might just do that...win or lose, they will emerge a much better team on the other side...
