78 Minutes into the world cup final...

I saw this on another thread and it'd be nice to see what people's opinions are...


So 78 minutes into a world cup final, we're losing by 2 points, we have a penalty 45 meters out, not straight in front of the posts.

Which of our players would you want over that ball to kick us to glory?

Morne Steyn....how can there be any doubt?  

 Whilst Morne is without doubt our best kicker, let's say hypothetically he's hardly played at all in the world cup till that point, hasn't really had a feel of the ball so there's no real momentum going into it...do you still want him to take it?
I'd say yes..but I can see the arguments against
If it was a pick out of anyone, in the squad or not, I'd have to pick Fransie, despite not being the most accurate on the whole, I'd trust him to kick for my life when the pressures on 

If we're not going to chose players even in the squad, I'm going for Naas.  

 Lets look at the Ellis Park test last year against the AB's - Lambie would be the player.   Of course Mozart will disagree - he said that 55 meter kick was not a pressure kick.          

Lambie or Steyn. Not sure if Pollard has the BMT for such moments yet, because he hasn't been in that situation yet, ever, so he's unproven.

Give it to the best 10 in the country ... Patrick Lambie!!

Look at Lambie at Twickenham and Cardiff....a basket case. You wouldn't want him tying Morne's boot laces before the big kick. Ellis Park was a kick he was never supposed to make...hence zero pressure. He can make those.  

 
Come now Mozart ... you don't like him because of his youthful look ... because of that intelligent glint in the eye ... I doubt you'd give him the time of day.

Morne lost the Ozzie test for us ... I can't remember ever seeing you tear him a new one because of it ... why is that?

Moz, how have you managed to take the ultimate pressure kick, and say there was no pressure? Seriously, make the kick you beat the All Blacks for the first time since the great trek! Miss the kick, and you lose your team a massive game! I am not a huge Lambie fan, but that WAS a pressure kick, no matter how you word it.
