Leonard and Johnson were as average as average can be................too many past greats in that squad.......the modern day greats are far better only because the game has moved on so much.

Os as the best loosehead, Joost the best 9, Carter the best 10, Gerber the best 13, Matfield the best 5............too tough to call.......but my side would be packed with the modern day players......SBW at 12 etc

Mike and Saffex a virtually impossible call...you are both right in certain context...but this is pure fantasy...the era's are different, the game style is different but imagine if the talent was this deep...you can go on and on...Mighty Mouse Mc Laughlin, JJ Williams, Keith Oxlee, Phillip Nel, Christian Cullen, HO De Villiers, Hennie Muller Die Windhond, Dougie Hopwood, Wilson Whineray, Hayden Morgan, Phil Bennet,Jannie Engelbrecht, Carel Du Plessis, (as you mentioned Mike) Morne Du Plessis, his dad Felix, even Doc Craven, Dawie De Villiers, Martin Pelser, Piet Greyling, Jan Ellis, Mike Campbell-Lamerton. Alan Pask,Johnny Wilkinson, Sid Going, Don Clarke, and even guys today like Thierry Dusatoir. It's just fun to dream. My goodness there have been some greats.

So many variables like Jones and his "never on a Sunday " thingy ! Those Godless Aussies would try to get games played on a Sunday if they could just for that reason alone !
