As I've mentioned on some other threads, Moodie is turning into a proper menace of a tackler.

This video isn't extensive since i can remember a good few more bone crunching hits that he's made over the last two seasons.

What i like that he's combining good technique with power to make these shots.

I can't remember a time when I've been such a big fan of so many of our players.

LOL, that tackle on the Lions player at around 1:16 - dude didn't see that coming. Moodie is a beast, and he's got skills as well.

That hit on JJ a few weeks back...he hit him so quick you thought it was Voster lol

I've been rewatching some games and he put in some big one's during the Wellington and Ireland tests too.

Littler shit is 23 and already has a WC and 2 RCs to his name!

Am < Moodie

Indeed :)

What's always struck me about Moodie, right from the start, is his calm. Like we saw with that try against the Sharks where they were flying all over the place after the bouncing ball and Moodie just hung back and waited for the right moment, all in a dynamic split-second situation.

Really good video. I'm a fan. Not sure if I'm more Moodie or Hooker but I'd have both if I could.

100% he has poise for days.

It was noticeable right from the start, he just looked like he's always played test rugby.

It's gonna take some work to get that 13 jersey off of him.

We're gonna need a new 12 though. Probably Hooker but maybe Chipps call on Mills comes good. Both of those guys are in the same age bracket as Sacha and Moodie.

Be nice to have a 10,12,13 combo that can will be together for at least 8 years!

Don't write off the possibility of both Hooker and Moodie being used on the wing if Kolbe and Arendse get crocked or lose form.

One of them needs to be the #13.

Right now AE is a good enough #12 for me.

Just saying, for all the shit. I have been giving old JJ, he's been good when I've seen him at 12.

I made a post some weeks back about seeing the logic in him playing at 12, and then that very weekend he confirmed that logic for me.

Perhaps a long shot, but who knows, he may have found his calling and the Boks do need a new 12 when AE the legend retires after the WC.

My problem with Juju now is how ineffective he was against the competent Bulls - they defended him with so much ease. He's got a lot to prove still.

I think he's still hurting from that Moodie hit haha.

But ja, he's done very little of note this season in general. Not nearly the magician we were sold.

And with no real high ball or kicking skills to speak of his options are very limited.

And then you get guys like DW, Hooker, Moodie and Sacha who can slot in almost everywhere.

I don't watch enough rugby these days to actually have an opinion on these players, but I know enough about this board's biases not to take anything as gospel...will try to watch the N/S derby...although I don't have much hope for the WP...but we've rained on the Bullet parade in the recent past when everything was stacked against us ..and with my good "fortune" of late, the Bools might be in for a surprise...

We are the sages on Rugby Mountain, Moz. Just think where a young whippersnapper like Plummie would have been without our guidance. Stuck in a room full of Worry Gelant posters wondering why life makes no sense anymore. Phoning Beeno for advice. We do The Lawd's work.
