* Kirchner made 4 tackles and missed 3......he can't tackle.

*Habana was the game's top gainer with 79 metres, I remember some wanting to drop him.

*Jean made his only tackle and gained 1 metre....what was he doing the rest of the time?

*M Steyn made all 5 of his tackles.

*Strauss, who supposedly was industrious, gained 8 metres in 9 carries.

*Louw made zero turnovers and conceded 3 penalties.

*Flip made 13 tackles and missed one....but it was the one on Smith that counted.

* Coetzee made zero metres and 4 tackles in his supposedly influential cameo performance.

*Goosen gained 18 metres in 2 carries.....Fransie 20 metres in 7.

*Bekker took 4 lineouts to Kruger's one.

Nonu never missed one of his eight tackles.

These are just BS popping observations.....I'm not claiming they define a player's whole game. They do say that much of what was written on these players was off.....some of it way off.

Our best players were Habana, Goosen, Flip, Bekker and Alberts.

Our worst players were Kirchner, Jean, Pienaar, Kruger.

The games dolt was Greyling.

I am sorry to say this - but I think it is time for De Villiers to retire as 13.   The other players that did badly - especially Kirchner and Morne Steyn (four missed conversion attempts) must also get dismissed from the squad.   If I ever see the name Greyling in any Springbok squad I will vomit.   I am not unhappy about Coetzee - he snuffed out a potentially very dangerous All Black attack and his defenxe was OK.

Incidentally I just watched the Lions - Cheetahs game and Brussow was not really performing satisfctorily.   The real performer was Jantjies (7 conversions out of 9) and one pass of his resulted in a try,   Negative - his defence is not up to standard as yet.   Gave away a penalty for a high tackle.   Taute came on and showed that he can go further - he tackled well and broke one tackle as well - too early to judge though.

I do believe that Francois Steyn was much better today than last week - and if he continues in this vein he would regain some credibility.
