Ex Sport 24

London - Struggling English Premiership club Sale on Monday sacked their social media executive after she launched a foul-mouthed tirade against supporters on her Facebook page.

Holleh Nowrouz, 26, was dismissed by Sharks chief executive Steve Diamond after an internal disciplinary review.

In comments posted in October, Nowrouz had written: "Oh, the joys of managing a sport club's social media when we've lost the last 7 Premiership home games."

"To the Sale Sharks fans who comment about the club needing to spend less time blogging and tweeting and more time coaching, the staff who create content for the website and social media platforms are not the same members of staff who coach the team. You absolute f***wits."

Diamond said that Nowrouz had overstepped the mark.

"As a club we have always been proud of the backing we receive from our supporters through thick and thin over our 151-year history," Diamond said.

"At this crucial time for the club Holleh's comments, though private, just overstepped the mark and left her position untenable."

Sale are bottom of the Premiership with just one victory from 11 matches

I do have some sympathy with Holleh to be honest. Its a bit like some oaks thinking big players are the probem with our backline!!

Beenbag no one said that the backline problem is due to being big, some argue that it is due to the lack of passing skills of our centres.

If you are going to quote people, it is your responsibility to do so accuratel.y.

Fact is our backs are not big when compared to some counties, but our centres certainly have less passing skills and playmaking ability. With the quality wings we have in Habana and JP we should be getting much more backline tries

 can you not see this?

Sorry sharkbok but you brought up the whole thing of size etc. I am saying we do need skills in the backline plus a better attacking stategy. We are not fielding a huge creatine pumped up backline as matters stand. Neither as Mike says do we select only on size.

Here I quote what you said sharkbok:

"Our centres seem more like loose forwards trying to crash ball over the advantage line than about creating space".

Well I can assure you that nobidy could mistake Hougaard, Pienaar, De Jongh or Kirchner as loose forwards. Only two biggish backs are Jean and JP who are around the 100 kg mark which is pretty small for a loose forward.

Hope that settles ou sharkbok!

Beeno I said that they live in the gym eating creatine adding bulk instead of spending more time on the field developing skill.

It is the centres I am referring to, not wings, fullbacks and scrum halfs.

Pienaar at scrumhalf is so thin he could be on an ethiopian diet. Also it is the centres over the last few years like dewet barry, pieter muller, jean etc. The All Black backs are bigger but still pass better
