A hearty congratulations to Gabine Muguruza on winning Wimbledon

She beat Venus Williams   7-5 and 6-0. The first set was very hard fought with amazing rallies. In the second set Venus dropped a gear and Garbine moved up a gear to be lose 6-0. Muguruza played almost faultless tennis.  Very glad she won and now hope Federer clinches the men's title.

 Congrats to her but sorry to hear Venus did not do better. I don't follow tennis but I have heard it said that she had more natural talent that her sister but perhaps lacked the temperament.

I think illness didn't help Venus. Still she is the second oldest woman ever to have made a Wimbledon final.Garbine's coach Conchita Martinez was 22 when she beat Martina who was 37 (a bit older than Venus) to win Wimbledon. Garbine is 23 and of course Venus 37. Conchita and Garbin e are the only female Spaniards to win Wimbledon.

Pretty dominant in that second set. Not a great final but some great rallies at the end of the first which ended with Gabine looking the stronger player.
