than a year to go and Meyer is in a place no other Bok coach has been with options aplenty. On the downside he has a problem in the frontrow but that aside he must be the envy of other coaches being able to choose from vastly experienced players and youth. Whether by fortune or design the initiation of Pollard to the test arena was perfect and should do wonders for his confidence, yes we all know it was against Scottish rabble but still a great launch pad for his career. The so called geriatrics brought calmness, stabilty and leadership, something Meyer and all great coaches value. The value of experience is soon realised when looking at teams who've won the WC....most of the players would have played in one or in some cases two previous WC's.
I've said I'll wait until the RC to see how the dice rolls but thus far Meyer has done nothing wrong as he steadfastly marches to the WC with all the aces up his sleeve. Only a fool will read something into the massive win over Scotland and there's plenty of them around but for me the true test is how we fare against the bullish Oz and the numero uno team, the AB's.....on their home turf.
