A pace deficiency in the AB backline starters?

Congratulations - you do take note of what I have written earlier this week - where I said tat they are physical - but rather slow pace-wise.  I omitted McKenzie and to a lesser extent Barrtt = who are faster in pace than the rest.

The Boks have pace in the back three and stopping power inside. It'll be interesting how they fare against New Zealand. The Aussies were doing a great job stifling the All Blacks going wide. Then in the second half, the All Blacks attacked the fringes heavily. The Wallabies folded without resistance. It opened the game up for the All Blacks. I'm sure Rassie will have take note how the Wallabies suffered.

...Hansen has his favourites unfortunately...but as long as we keep winning then he will keep selecting the same players....risky business though when he is yr last line of defence....

...on the plus side Beaudy runs a great counter defence covering for his brother as if they're still playing back yard footy  - for most parts they seem to innately sense where each other is fortunately for us....comforting also to have Ben Smith in the back three as cover for Jordie although you can only do so much out on the wing..

Yes Moz but running around like a mob of scared arse gazelle will make them all tired and meat on the table .

SA rugby has no unity.

It is better to have a fast player who knows he can run as fast he can because the team keeps moving as a unit than a faster player who knows he must manage his pace because the team around is not able to follow his pace and provide timely support and continuity.

SA rugby is poor, it can not bear improvisation and spontaneity. Everything must be wired two or three moves in advance. Which negates any benefit from fast players.

And when SA fast players act out from first set of mind, the moves end by being more dangerous for the SA team than the opponent.

SA rugby do not provide an adequate environment for fast players. They cant express themselves.
