POOL A Ire, Scot,Japan, Russia, Samoa

Most likely...Ire and Scot (possible upset Japan

POOL B NZ, SA, Italy, Namibia, Rep winner (probably Canada)

Definite...NZ SA

The rest absolutely zero chance, Italy might give a very slight challenge if they can improve but this is a thousand to one chance...the rest a joke...Namibia does not even deserve to be there.

POOL C

Eng,France,Arg, USA, Tonga

Most likely Eng, France and Arg...pool of death a n unfortunate selection.

 USA and Tonga...not a chance.

POOL D

Austr,Wales,Georgia,Fiji and Uruguay

Most likely Wales, Austr (Georgia can upset) Fiji very remote and Uruguay no chance at all.

Every WC seems to have a POOL OF DEATH...its very unfortunate but it could harbour the possible final playoff team.

My reasoning is when your pools are "soft" your level of play tends to remain moderate...in tougher pools you raise your level. Is this logical???

Seb

Interesting comments on the Pools - so lets get down to real business.   Lets assume both New Zeaand and South Africa go through to the quarters they would face the following:-

*   the winner of Pool B will play the runners-up in Pool C; and

*   the runners-up in Pool B will face the winner in Pool C

South Africa will have to beat NZ in the pool stages of the Championship - so they can go ibn the semi against the runners-up - which may or may not be an easier match-up.

It may even be that the pool C teams are knocked out of the Championship altogether in the quarter-finals.

LOL..Mike...the winner of Pool B will play the runners-up in Pool C; and

But true Mike and on a lighter note...I'm laughing because the winner and favourite will most likely be NZ  and the runner up most likely to be, guess who? France...NZ can never seem to get rid of the monkey that climbs again onto it's back.Although last WC they managed to kill the beast ....but it's coming back again...hahahahaha

Cannot seem to get rid of this ghost...9 times out 10 the AB's will punish France but come WC's they get twitchy...
