Much was made about the Goosen injury story - so here is a full report on it - Unfortunately in Afrikaans and I am not going to even attempt a translation - other than to say it seems to have been a storm in a teacup:-

My phone translated it

Springbok flyhalf Johan Goosen will be ready on Friday against the Bulls more of its Super-beat way.

Goosen for a scan on Saturday after he went his arm in the Toyota Cheetahs Super Rugby loss to the Lions lightly injured it.

But Bok was already yesterday with his Toyota Cheetahs teammates sweat against the Bulls stand.

Although Goosen fit, scrumhalf Shaun Venter (ankle), winger Raymond Rhule (hamstrings) and prop Trevor Nyakane (leg) did not practice. Venter and Rhule today should again fall while Nyakane perhaps more rest will need.

Springbok prop all week against the Lions a little burden of injury and will have a time when he is not in the 23-man squad can be.

Nyakane have Caylib Oosthuizen in the 47th minute substitute and looked hungry for him again in the starting line-up.

According Hawies Fourie, the Toyota Cheetahs backline coach, Goosen's arm just bent too far back and nothing is torn or injured further.

Although he was not at his sharpest and did not always make the right decisions at the Lions took, the Goose at times yet started finding his rhythm.

He worked as a precaution not told his team's contact sessions observed. Goosen earlier posts gekorrel while his teammates physically affected. Fourie is not too worried about Goosen's kicking job.

Goosen against the Lions missed two penalties, while his replacement, Elgar Watts, also at the end of an easy penalty kick missed.

In contrast, the Lions flyhalf Marnitz Boshoff, with all six penalty attempts succeeded his team to prevail 21-20.

"Johan has an easy kick missed and Elgar also an easy kick missed," said Fourie.

"The long Johan first try, no one is just ten out of ten times oorskop not go."

After Goosen last year after an injury and returned with his first goal kicking struggled, the Toyota Cheetahs him even easier kicks come true greats before he ventured. It looked like a bomb worked. But Fourie said the Toyota Cheetahs Goosen accurate goalkicker when he feels he wants to do. "
