The log, as it is now reflected on the Supersport website, is a true reflection of how it stands. There are only two sides who have not had two byes yet, but the 4 points for their byes have already been added to their log points. So, there is no need for a revised log anymore.

Many thanks windpomp.

I see the Sharks and Stormers are both on 38 points. 5th and 6th are Cheetahs and Crusties on 46 points each. Three matches to go. A miracle might see one of them (Stormers and Sharks) making it but no realistic chance.

Blues played 13 on 43 are maybe still in it but tour SA  to play Cheetahs, Sharks and Chiefs so probably wont get there. However Hurricanes have played 13 and are on 43 points - they play Chiefs, Highalnders and Rebels so are in with a shout.

You're mistaken, Ceradyne. Neither the Reds or the Cheetahs have been given points for the bye according to that table. Here is the table as per the Superrugby site:

You'll notice that the Reds and Cheetahs have only had 1 bye reflected in the "Bye" column and both those teams still need 4 points added to their scores to give a true reflection of where they stand.

The fact that we even need to do these "real points" logs is a complete joke. This system of awarding 4 points for the bye is one of the stupidest things I've ever seen and it means one can't just look at the games played and the points on the log and work out where the teams stand, you have to work out how many byes each team has had and add or subtract points accordingly. It's a ridiculous idea that just creates confusion where none is necessary.

Interestingly, at the start of the season when I commented on the stupidity of awarding points for a bye, both Baboon-ou and the resident Board Liar had a little snigger at my expense. Hilarious to see Baboon-ou's requests for "real points" tables which is basically confirming my suspicions that the two idiots simply didn't understand my initial post or why it was such a stupid idea.

Correct Rooinek. You have to add 4 points to the Reds and the Cheetahs log points. The Bulls still have one game in hand against the Cheetahs and two against the Reds, though.

You have to add four points? Oh boy this is really going to be tough for RooiAAS. Last time he added one and three he got 5. And then after he had blown the Lions series, by saying the Boks were going to get hammered.....he claimed I had to go back 6 years to dig that up. Perhaps you could just add up the numbers for him. That would show a spirit of charity.
