Your team has played much the better rugby but come the last five minutes of the game they trail by a point. The opposition has been given 10 penalties in front of the posts and converted every one of them. However none of the penalties were ligitimate!!!

The ball goes out to your teams wing and he drops the ball going over the line!!!


Now could I ask all the mentally challenged (YES YOU) what is the primary cause of this defeat? Was it the ref or the missed try?


You may assume that it is the right of your team to have fair ref decisions.


I am of course asking a lot of the logical ability of our resident oaks but give it a go.


I would ban kbbs from answering but that would be unkind.

I would not say it is eoither or - it is a combination of both factors.   However, if you have the game won and a key player like Morne Steyn goes stupid - like he did in so many tests before - you can only expect disaster. 
He tried desperately to donate a draw to the Pumas in Pretoria and to give them a win in Sala - both unsuuccessfully.   On Saturday he succeeded. - so let us accept that he is there to help the opposition to snacth victory from the jaws of defeat.

 Morne was playing well until the last kick. He defended well, passed well and his general play was not bad at all.

 Things are worse than I thought. The kbbs just dont have the capacity to think abstractly.
Mike never mind Morne's mistake. We are entitled to a fair ref - thus dispite Morne's blunder we would have won given a competent ref. End of Story
Could all respondents please stand in the corner and make sure your Dunce's hat is firmly in place.

 It was neither the refs nor the lightweight wings fault.

 

It was the teams fault for not correctly implementing the brilliant coaches game plan of kicking from your own half to ensure territory and thereby not playing and therefore conceeding 10 penalties (however 'ligitimate') in a kickable position....duh!

Beeno if your team has spent enough time in front of its own posts to give away 10 kickable penalties they were probably saved the indignity of having all that possession turned into tries. There fore the ref should be commended for letting you get as close as you did and justice has prevailed when the wing dropped the ball allowing the rightful side the win.
