In the Semi Final in 2012 the Sharks had to come back from NZ and Australia to South Africa to play a very successful Stormers side at Newlands. The Stormers side which contained Bryan Habana, Eben Etzebeth, Jean De Villiers, Cheslin Kolbe and many other notables was undefeated at Newlands and had won 14 of their fixtures and no defeats at home.
The Sharks faced a long trip home and had to beat a fresh Stormers side at Newlands.
Keegan Daniel's team did this against all odds.
They now had to return to NZ to play the Chiefs in the final which was just asking a "little" too much. They went down to the Chiefs.
