A tale of two...

To the untrained eye everything will seem well after the disaster that was a mere week ago in Nelspruit against a very honest and convincing Welsh side.Is it possible that we could be facing a physiological goldfish mentality with the glamorous and very pointless 55-6 victory over a Scotish team that hasn't ever really shown any sign of greatness after the departure of players like Gregor Townsend and John Lesley. Over all this was a very weak Scotish team.A team that bragged and road the wave of success after beating the USA Eagles in Houston Texas and Argintina.Hardly world beaters those teams are they...So in one spectacle we nearly crash like the Challenger and in another we reach for near sir Edmon Hillary status.Scotland being a very poor example of Everest. The acid test and refinery will be the furnace of the rugby Championship cauldron the All-Blacks.I will be blunt and sharp as not to mince my words.Give credit where credit is due.The All-Blacks are the bench mark for international rugby standards.If any team want to measure them selves against a yard stick for their own growth then 80 min on the park with the boys in black will definitely separate the men from the boys.They are clinical in everything they do.From set piece to line to kick off and to defending up to and the last whistle.Their fitness level is outstanding and the older players after the sabacticals...look sharp.McCaw looks like he is ready for another RWC and Carter was stretching his legs today.Time and time again we have tried to predict the demise of this team...Let me remind everyone that it has been done for nearly five years and in a spell of four seasons there still is one one loss on the cards for these men. So before we jump on to the band wagon and start praising our great "Bokke" for a tremendous win over Scotland let us remember that a nine year old with Crayola drawings can not brag about greatness in the presence of Picaso.We need to sit down and take a look around and realize that actually we have won nothing.Sweet blue bug-o-roll. Serious questions hung over the selection of Victor Matfield(who's heart is in the right place but that is about the only thing)Serious questions hung over the selection of Bakkies Botha and then let us be honest Habana is looking that great anymore.In that Welsh nightmare of 31-30 Habana was like a missing person...No where to be found.From my incumbent if I was the coach I would want a big game every game the likes that Savea has or Ben Smith or Kiern Read who very very seldom seem to have a bad game. Ask yourself this,when was the last time we actually saw a bad ...really bad game in the likes of our players from the Allblacks.Any guess,yeah I mean I agree in Super rugby there are some dismal performances but when the black shirts go over then its all a different story.They dont really seem to have bad games and when they do...guess what they still win even if just by one point again then guess what again its by a far better standard then any of our n worst days. This is what I saw today.Burger showed class(and trust me he annoys me...another journey man in my opinion),Matfield tackled and took line out ball(great I am sure a chimp at NASA can be taught that)Coenie cant scrum to save his fat arse and all round we were poor in our break down areas.When Victor was asked about this he said..."It is something we do everyday..."Andre Agassi used to come home and hit three thousand tennis balls a day after school.His dads moto was," Aplayer that can hit 3000 balls can win anything"The Bokke can take a page from his auto bio because the crap I saw from the forwards today wont stand against a team like the All-Blacks.We couldnt rip balls away or turn players over or turn break downs in to penalties in favor of us.We were poor.And dont forget the Ozzies...that are not looking so Wobbly are looking on in great anticipation.Marcel Coetzee did not steal one ball and neither did Burger. From Lood I saw youth and excitement.From Duan I saw a willingness to please,to look like a big man against small dogs.Busmarck dread I say it...IS NOT ON FROM.His ego is getting the better of him.This whole captaincy saga at the Sharks has gone to his head and his brother needs a dammmmmm rest FFS!!!!!! From the backs I saw a young man(Pollard) that has great potential.Cool as a cucumber.And as sharp as a hot knife in butter.My honest verdict,against the All-Blacks you dont want this rabbit in the head lights on the field.Pollard is to young and in experienced.To much to soon will burn his wings before he can fly.You learn to walk before you learn to run end off!!!!! I wont put him up against Buaden or Aaron.but never the less he is the future for dam real.He needs 20min each game in big games with Morne starting.FduP was another shocker.Reinach must be taking crack to ease the pain of none selection after this disaster today.He needs to lift his fitness and he needs to deice about a game strategy and if he plays with Pollard he needs to communicate with him.There were to many sloppy passes.I hate sloppy passes form any scrum half. the other disaster is JPP at 13.Let me tell all of you now.Smith and Kurindrani are going to pound him like Point road hooker with midnight express runs.He is a weakness at 13.We can not expect to become the best with this guy wearing the number 13 shirt.Forget it.You think JJ was a open road to the tryline.Wait till you see the new version called JPP(JJ2.0)Serfontein is getting his confedance and him and De Allende will most likely be our center combo come RWC 2015. For the rest I dont have much to comment about.I think if my name ended in Louw and Alberst I would be very worried tonight and start producing results.Here in the Army we have a saying,"shape up or shift up"They both need a reality check.Botha can also be worried and Victor can count his lucky stars he is a veteran because if he was a rookie with that performance he would be playing Vodacom cup next week in my book. But we will see how the story unfolds.Most likely we are going to see a number of guys taking the sun set walk soon.Meyer needs to wake up and realize that much work is still in need of doing.
